In this essay on intergenerational collaboration, we argue that the younger and older generations have different tools to contribute to solving the world's problems, and that both need to look at the other from a new perspective to work together effectively: The youth as living past to the elders, and the elders as living future for the youth.

In this essay, we show the three types of language: the language of the past, the language of the present, and the language of the future.
The focus of this essay lies in the necessity that the foundation of the mother tongue, that is, the language of the past is the mandatory condition to access the language of the present, that of communication between each other, and finally the access to the unique language of the future, which is individual for each person.Â
Nowadays, when we have to deal with modern technology, we see the eroding influence on the mother tongue. It is actually at stake. This Essay is a wake up call to action to assure that language keeps its power into the future.
