"What Day Is It?" video course - Supporter Rate

"What Day Is It?" video course - Supporter Rate

The week is the most basic rhythm of social life, and each of the seven days has a unique quality. A Monday is definitely not a Saturday. Why is that? While each of us has our own sense of the days based on our life experiences, the days of the week also have certain archetypal qualities. For millenia, their names and order have corresponded to the names of heavenly bodies (Moon-day, Saturn-day), which also connect them to the gods and drama of ancient mythology. We can find some of the qualities of the days in these connections. The same archetypal forces are at work in structuring the phases of life, and these provide further clues and insights about the inner qualities of the days of the week.

This course is for anyone who has lost a connection to the rhythm of the week or anyone who wants to deepen their connection to the unique qualities of each day. In Session 1 we explore the concept of the week, its history, and the mystery of the number seven. In Sessions 2-8, we dive into each day of the week in turn, explore the where it lives in our experience, and connect it to the corresponding life phase and other ideas. Each session contains a number of biographical exercises where you can pause and work back into your own experiences.

Each video is approximately 1 hour in length, and you should budget about 2 1/2 hours to work through the content and the exercises. If possible, we suggest signing up with a partner so you can share your responses to the biography exercises. For groups of 4 or more, there is a discounted “group rate”.

Joining at the Supporter Rate helps us to make our work available to individuals who are not able to pay the full price. You can read more about our "80/20" policy on the main Shop page for more details. We truly appreciate your generosity.

In addition to access to the videos, everyone who registers also gets access to our online course platform where you can interact with other course participants and share your responses to the exercises. Also included is a one-hour zoom meeting with the instructors Chris and Anne where you can discuss the course and ask any questions you might be holding.

You can work through the material at your own pace. We recommend creating a rhythm of one session per month to build on the rhythmic quality of the course.

In these arrhythmical times, can you rediscover your own rhythm and gain strength to step into the unknown future of your life?
